St. Mary's Church in Smolnik in Pohorje was built between 1859 and 1861.
The building has an orthogonal floor plan, with an attached entrance section and presbytery. Its exterior is distinguished by an emphasized façade with a portal, a varied front, and a tower with a pyramidal roof. The interior opens into a domed and pilastered central space. In the presbytery, there is a painted altar architecture, with St. Anthony of Padua and St. Luke depicted beside the columns, and an oil painting of the Immaculate Conception at the center of the painted structure. The actual altar consists of a mensa with a tabernacle adorned with sheaves of wheat, grapes, and at the top, the Lamb of God on a book with seven seals. The tabernacle is honored by kneeling putti on the volutes. This is a post-Baroque work from the 19th century, which faithfully repeats the characteristics of the original Baroque style. The angels vaguely recall the works of the sculptor F. K. Reiss from the first half of the 18th century.
