The Miraculous Well Under the Chapel on Areh
Beneath the church of St. Areh lies a chapel that can be seen from the road. The chapel contains a "miraculous spring" that is believed to have healing powers.
The architecture of the chapel does not represent a high quality, but in conjunction with the monument and the church, it forms part of the commemorative setting.
The spring near the chapel has always been considered healing. Many visitors to Areh not only quenched their thirst there but also took the "Areh water" home in woven containers.
