Newborn Linden Plantation

On April 21st, 2022, the municipality of Ruše held a tree-planting event where newborn linden trees were planted. The event was attended by the children of the 2020 generation, and it was a wonderful afternoon spent planting the linden trees which were given to them during Children's Week in October of the previous year.

48 children received limes. The parents of 13 children, who do not have suitable land for planting trees, planted linden trees with their children on municipal land, where they took the Jurček tourist train.

This is how the beautiful "Newborn Linden Plantation" was created on Šarhova pota in the center of Ruš and next to the bike path in Bistrica ob Drava, with which we want to inform young generations on World Earth Day, which is celebrated on April 22, that as a municipality we are sustainable and green minded.

We are happy that the children will be able to take care of their trees during their daily walks and admire their growth, just as they will grow themselves.

The municipality invites everyone to take a walk through the Neonatal Linden Grove and recharge their energy in nature.
