OktobeRuše Fest

OktobeRuše Fest combines various activities. It is an all-day festival of sports, cultural, culinary and intergenerational activities.

One of the activities is the Ruše Balloon Festival. It is organized by the Ruše Sports Park Public Institution and Ruše Municipality as a commemoration of the anniversary of the first landing of a manned balloon on Slovenian soil when Peter Ferdinand (brother of Emperor Franz Joseph) and his cousin Duke Joseph of Tuscany took off with the balloon.
