A visit to Ruše will also benefit lovers of more challenging hikes and explorers of mountain trails. Ruše with its rugged surroundings and Pohorje offer quite a lot.

It was opened on September 1, 1996, on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the Ruše Mountaineering Association. It connects the interesting points of the central part of Pohorje, the Lobnice Gorge and the Pohorje primaeval forest. It has ten checkpoints: Ruše (Cafe Oniks), Šumik waterfall, Klopni Vrh, Osankarica, Trije Kralji, Žigartov Vrh, Ruška Koča, Planinski Dom Zarja, Mariborska Koča, and Lovski Dom Pečke.
