Turkish Wall

Perpendicular to the railway and the Drava River (near the settlement of Smolnik), there are remnants of the 'Turkish Wall' made of broken stone. During the Turkish invasions, locals sought refuge behind the remnants of the wall. The Drava 'kljuža' (defensive wall) is mentioned in historical sources as early as 1147.
