Water "RIŽA" near Lobnica

In the literature, ''RIŽA'' along the Lobnica stream is also referred to as the "Ruše water slide" or the "water slide in Smolnik near Ruše."

The water slide (RIŽA) was built as early as 1874, with a length of 5728 meters along the Lobnica stream. A few years later, its extension was built over the Šumik waterfall from Bajgot, where one branch was directed towards Lahova sawmill and the other towards Piklerica. In 1901, it was built to a total length of 11,664 meters. According to older sources, the final length with all branches was 16,000 meters. It was created at the initiative of Ruše glassmaker Benedikt Vivat and served the glassmaking needs for many years. An example of a water slide is also displayed at the roundabout in Smolnik.
