Church of the Scourged Saviour at the Ruše Cemetery

On the outside, the church presents itself primarily with a divided facade with a portal and a tower that continues in height.

The exterior of the building is simple, and it incorporates several tombstones. The interior of the church is a single-nave space with an apse, covered by a barrel vault, with pilasters enlivening the walls. The presbytery is decoratively painted, featuring depictions of St. Mary Magdalene and St. Peter. The altar consists of three canopies, with surrounding arches on either side. In the niche in front of the central canopy is a statue of Christ at the pillar of scourging, while the side niches contain statues of St. Barbara and St. John the Baptist. The artwork notably includes the figure of Christ, a work by a skilled carver from the 18th century; according to tradition, this work originates from Bavaria. Among the other furnishings, the painting of the Deposition from the Cross, dated 1744 and executed in contrasting colors, stands out. Also worth mentioning is the oil altar painting of Jesus and Mary with inscriptions in German and Slovenian.
