The parish office in Ruše keeps a chronicle written in Latin from the 18th century, which, due to the specificity of some of its data, is considered one of the most interesting parish chronicles from the area of Slovenian Styria.
It is the work of the chaplain and teacher at the Latin school Jožef Avguštin Meznarič - Marian, and it includes the history of the church or parish from the first beginnings, which the author of the chronicle placed before the year 900, a series of rectors of the church and pastors, some information and events from the place itself, and with the establishment of the school in 1645, also lists of students, information about the chaplains who taught at this school and information about theatrical (religious) plays that were performed here from 1680 to 1722. The work ends in 1760.
